Steel sump tray with plastic feet – robust shallow tray for safe drum handling in sensitive areas

The steel sump tray with plastic feet combines the high stability of steel with the protective properties of polypropylene. As a heavy-duty shallow tray, it is particularly suitable for the safe storage and provision of flammable liquids as well as liquids hazardous to water.

The sump tray is made of 3 mm thick sheet steel and withstands even heavy use in daily operations. Large, bolted-on base feet made of black polypropylene are corrosion-resistant and reliably protect the tray from moisture from below. At the same time, the extra-large plastic feet protect sensitive corner areas from damage and preserve the hall floor as they do not cause scratches. Furthermore, the plastic of the sump tray feet is conductive, so that the shallow tray can also be used in hazardous areas (zone 1).

During drum handling, the sophisticated design also supports simple logistics: the sump tray is accessible from below by a forklift truck with adjustable tines. Drums can be stored directly on the tray grate or on the pallet.

Thanks to the conical design, several shallow trays (without grate) can be stacked inside each other to save space. This reduces storage requirements and makes it easier to provide the sump trays for different drum handling requirements.
