Even transporting a keg of beer can be a real undertaking. Drums in warehouses, workshops or laboratories usually aren't just heavier – their contents are often hazardous for humans and the environment. This is why, in contrast to the keg of beer, you are going to need the right equipment in place. Fortunately you can get everything you need for safe drum handling from our shop.
When transporting, stacking or refilling containers, the risk of spilling the contents is particularly high. Products from KAISER+KRAFT for handling steel cylinders help prevent any mishaps when handling hazardous goods. In addition, they also ensure work processes proceed smoothly, and make them more comfortable, even if the contents aren't quite as dangerous. After all, who likes lifting a 60 litre drum onto a pallet?
Basically, you have two options for drum handling:
For the first, you'll find that our shop has trucks and trolleys in different versions – ones with and without an integrated sump tray, ones for drums and ones specifically for gas cylinders. Alternatively, you can purchase add-ons that you can secure to a crane or stacker. Drum grips with pump bars function in a similar way to pallet trucks. Drum tippers or tilting units are suitable for refilling drums with hazardous substances. They also give you the choice between models that can be secured to the ground, or to vehicles.
Regardless of whether you are looking for a product for transporting drums or gas cylinders, a sufficient load-bearing capacity and maximum load is important. To ensure the container doesn't do its own thing when en route, our trucks are equipped with securing devices. Sump trays on trolleys or rollers also prevent any escaping liquids from landing on the floor. There are drum tongs and drum clamps for upright or horizontal drums. The former also allows open drums to be transported.
They're best stored in one of our hazardous goods containers or depots, gas cylinder cupboards, depots or containers. They are available from KAISER+KRAFT for indoors and outdoors, just like hazardous goods shelving and cupboards, pumps and products for leak management are. And if you're not sure how to ensure maximum safety when handling hazardous goods? You can obtain valuable information in our purchasing guide ''Information on regulation compliant storage of hazardous materials''. Or simply ask us in person. We're always happy to help you, and organise custom made models specially for your preferences and individual situation when necessary.
