The VLITEX PREMIUM fire extinguishing blanket is a fire containment blanket specifically developed for battery fires. It is placed over an electric vehicle involved in an accident as a preventative measure to protect the surrounding area in the event of a fire. Used as an extinguishing blanket, it reliably and quickly smothers conventional fires. It keeps a fire involving electrical components under the blanket and thereby minimises damage to the surrounding area. The special glass fibre fabric with its particularly dense silicone coating can withstand temperatures of up to 1000 °C for extended periods, and even peak temperatures of 1750 °C. Retains exploding parts due to the high burst resistance of the material. A battery fire, which does not require oxygen and therefore cannot be smothered, burns out under the blanket in a controlled manner. The PREMIUM fire extinguishing blanket is suitable for anyone who regularly has to deal with fires. Depending on the fire load, it can be used several times.

The German manufacturer VLITEX GmbH equips the fire service and industry with safety products based on technical fabrics. Tested according to the relevant standards:
– Temperature resistance certified by KIWA (1000 °C)
– Short term temperature resistance confirmed by Magna Steyr (1300 °C)
– Short term temperature resistance confirmed by manufacturer test (1750 °C)
– Electrical resistance in accordance with DIN 54345-1 confirmed by Hof University of Applied Sciences (< 1.0 x 106 Ω)
– Cut resistance in accordance with ISO 13997:1999-08 confirmed by STFI (18.45 N)
– Reaction to fire in accordance with EN 13501 confirmed by MPA (A2)
