The SPS safety package (Safety Protection System) protects both the user and the device. A patented, electronically controlled safety flap in the feed opening provides reliable protection from injuries involving fingers and ties. The EASY-SWITCH multi-function switching element makes operation particularly easy and guides the user safely through the various operating modes using clear colour signals and illuminated symbols.

The automatic reverse function with automatic shutdown prevents paper jams and ensures uninterrupted use. Another highlight is automatic shutdown when the collection container is full, which automatically stops the device as soon as the container fills up. The document shredder features an electronic door lock, which uses a magnetic switch to guarantee that the device is only operated when it is safe to do so. In addition, two motor fuses protect the document shredder from overheating and ensure a long service life.

Energy efficiency and ease of use:
Zero energy standby mode automatically disconnects the device from the mains power after 15 minutes of inactivity, thereby saving energy. The light barrier for automatic start/stop activates the document shredder as soon as it is required and automatically stops when no more paper is being inserted. The ECC (Electronic Capacity Control) function provides a patented capacity utilisation display when shredding so that you always know how much paper the device can still process.
