Company, warehouse, workshop or laboratory? We equip your workplace the right way!
Configuring a workstation with the right equipment is a complex matter. This is because the equipment must fulfil different requirements according to the area of activity. For example, workstations in industrial, laboratory, workshop or assembly environments must be reliable, stable, flexible, well organised and, above all, safe. In addition, there are requirements with regard to ergonomics and productivity. It’s easy to lose sight of the big picture. What’s most important is to make sure that the working atmosphere and environment are pleasant and that measures to maintain employee health are observed.
Find out more about the five most important key questions here.
1. What type of desk is best suited to my area of activity?
Workstation systems
These workbenches and work tables suitable for customisation are ideal for the different requirements encountered in the industrial sector. They can be easily extended, reconfigured and optimised with swivel arms, storage bins, storage shelves or perforated panels.
Cleanroom table
The requirements placed on the cleanliness of work surfaces are very strict in laboratories and cleanrooms. Made of stainless steel or other high quality materials, the tables are easy to clean and satisfy all legal requirements.
Work table
Ideal for production, the workshop or mailing departments. Available in a range of robust materials and with high max. loads, work tables are flexible to use individually. Height adjustable desks are also easy on the back, and particularly pleasant for the user.
Workbenches
Workbenches are specifically designed for different tasks and requirements in workshops, factories and garages. They provide a stable and functional work surface for manual or assembly work and repairs. There are different types of equipment to choose from, ranging from stationary and mobile workbenches to add-on drawer units and drawers.
Packing table, cutting table
Particularly suitable for companies with a mailing department. The tables are easy to combine to create an entire packing line. By adding accessories such as perforated panels or shelves for packaging, tools and office materials, all the tools can be kept within easy reach.

2. What requirements must my work surface satisfy?
The maximum load bearing capacity of the workbench/work table is an important factor. The work surface must be able to support the weight of the tools and workpieces.
The size and composition of the work surface should suit the tasks you are planning to perform. Make sure it is large enough for all your projects and suitable for the different materials. We have different types of worktops in our range.
Solid beech worktops
Solid beech worktops are robust, durable, very sturdy and can even be sanded several times. An absolute classic among worktops.
Zinc plate sheet steel panel
If you work with moist, greasy or aggressive products, you should choose a panel with a zinc plate sheet steel surface. It is also ideal for activities involving strong mechanical impacts.
Worktop with universal lining
The universal surface panel is also resistant to oils, greases, water, heat, weak acids and alkaline solutions. This antistatic and hardwearing plastic, linoleum or urphen sheet is also flame retardant.
ESD equipment
When working with components sensitive to ESD, care must be taken to ensure that the workplace is equipped with the correct ESD equipment and that it is electrically conductive. Only then can damage to the parts caused by electrostatic charges released by the user be prevented. > You’ll find everything you need for your ESD workstation right here
3. Do tools and work materials need to be stored or secured?
Efficient solutions for a tidy workplace.
Perforated panels with tool holders, suspension rails for open fronted storage bins and storage shelves are a great aid when it comes to keeping all work utensils within easy reach and increasing the user’s productivity. Swivel arms with open fronted storage bins or perforated panels also ensure that the workstation remains tidy and secure.
Add-on drawer units and clever storage space solutions.
Cupboards available in a range of designs – under the workbench or for individual set-up – can provide additional storage space. In this case too, the range of solutions is diverse. Depending on your requirements, we can offer you add-on drawer units with drawers, fixed pedestals with drawers or drawer pedestals.
Tools and materials kept within reach.
In many cases, mobile workshop and tool trolleys, assembly trolleys or mobile workbenches are essential items of equipment. They make it easy to transport the necessary tools to the work site.
4. How do I guarantee adequate lighting at the workplace?
Bright, well illuminated workstations increase the sense of well-being and satisfaction among employees, especially when working with small workpieces. It can also help you to reduce error rates.
Workplace lamps can be installed above the work surface using a corresponding arm with stabilisers on the rear. There is also the option of installing them on side braces, or with swivelling arms, to place the lamp directly above the workpiece. > Click here for basic knowledge about workplace lighting
5. Does my workplace satisfy ergonomic standards?
Height adjustable work tables/workbenches can be customised to suit different requirements and are particularly friendly on the spine. Carrying out work alternating between sitting and standing helps prevent posture related problems.
Ergonomic industrial chairs are often adjustable in a range of ways, with the seat height, back rest angle, arm rest height and position all being adaptable, and therefore able to minimise problems with posture. A comfortable position when seated also helps improve concentration and performance.
To relieve strain on muscles and joints and counteract back pain, equipping work areas where people primarily work when standing with anti-fatigue matting is recommended.
