Stainless steel cupboards
This steel is really elegant! Especially when made into a cupboard that is designed to keep everything organised and within easy reach in laboratories, large kitchens, hygiene areas or wet rooms.
Stainless steel cupboards: a huge difference
There are only a few degrees of purity separating steel and stainless steel, but huge differences in terms of hygiene and resistance. That’s why they are in particularly high demand among those in the hospitality industry and by laboratory assistants, cleanroom staff and wet room specialists. However, the entire company benefits from their outstanding qualities.
Good to know: kaiserkraft primarily stocks cupboards made of stainless steel 1.4301. This is an austenitic, acid resistant 18/10 CrE-Ni steel featuring very good corrosion properties due to its low carbon content. It is approved for temperatures of up to 300 degrees Celsius.
What are the benefits of stainless steel cupboards?
Try getting dirt to stick to a stainless steel cupboard. Or try destroying it. Not so easy? Exactly! Stainless steel is one of the most hygienic and robust materials of all. For this reason alone, it is indispensable in the form of a steel cupboard in areas of the company with correspondingly high demands. Our stainless steel cupboards are:
- Approved for cold storage and wet rooms as well as hygienically sensitive areas
- Corrosion free, rustproof, resistant to heat, cold, moisture and chemicals
- Easy to clean and disinfect – even with steam cleaners
- Extremely robust and hardwearing – even with intensive use
- Lockable and therefore suitable for storing sensitive substances or documents
- Depending on the version, with stud feet or castors
- For wall mounting or as freestanding models
Are there any drawbacks?
If you compare stainless steel cupboards with classic office furniture, the metal looks rather clinical and sterile compared to wood. This is intentional, yet counterproductive in a work environment where concentration and representation go hand in hand. That’s why offices either feature furniture made of wood or steel cupboards with designer front panels and a range of RAL colours.
Even though stainless steel can cope with practically any cleaning agent, you don’t want too much of a good thing. Abrasive cleaners scratch the surface, which facilitates contamination with germs – compromising the key function of a stainless steel cupboard. The same applies to bleach. In this regard, it is particularly important to train staff in proper cleaning practices.
Moreover, stainless steel cabinets are not exactly known for flexibility – unless you opt for handy models that come on castors. The basic stainless steel furnishing should therefore be planned properly.
Where would I use stainless steel cupboards?
With all their impressive features, our stainless steel cupboards for industry and the hospitality industry will quickly become popular equipment throughout the company. In principle, they should be used wherever hygiene is just as important as durability.
This applies in particular to laboratories and clean rooms, medical and pharmaceutical facilities, first aid stations, kitchens and catering establishments, social and washrooms, public pools or sports facilities.
