Barrier tape for marking hazard points and work areas
A barrier tape is usually printed in several colours to ensure it is seen straight away, and that what is it signalising is interpreted correctly. It is a reflective film or a striped plastic band that is, on the one hand, used to divide a warehouse into different areas or, on the other hand, to provide warnings about hazard zones. Warning and marking tapes are used for cordoning off and marking deployment sites and hazard zones in workshops and warehouses, but also in road traffic. Even when certain markings aren't always mandatory in every area, their use is always sensible and therefore recommended. In industry in particular, warning signs and warning markings comprised of different combinations of colours and patterns are employed for different purposes. The typical length of a barrier tape totals 250 m or 500 m, while the width ranges from approximately five to eight centimetres to ensure the marking is easily visible. Furthermore, marking systems can also be printed with a warning or explanatory signs that provide an additional indication of the hazard point.
